Eltrombopag: An Oral Thrombopoietin Receptor Agonist

Eltrombopag is a non-competitive thrombopoietin receptor agonist to be administered orally once daily. It increases platelet counts in patients with chronic immune thrombocytopenia and shows trilineage responses in patients with severe aplastic anemia.
